Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Nelo ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms apply to all users of the Nelo service operated by Nelo ("we", "our", or "us").

2. Who can use Nelo

Nelo is intended for users who are at least 17 years old. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Nelo is designed for one-to-one use between two consenting individuals in a personal relationship.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide a valid email address to sign in. You agree not to share your account with anyone other than your paired partner, or create multiple accounts to circumvent any limitations.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use Nelo only for its intended purpose — as a private space between two people who care about each other. You must not:

• Use Nelo to harass, harm, stalk, or threaten any person
• Share content that is illegal, abusive, or non-consensual
• Attempt to access, reverse-engineer, or interfere with Nelo's infrastructure
• Use Nelo for commercial purposes or automated/bot interactions
• Impersonate another person or create accounts on behalf of others without consent

5. Content you share

Content you create in Nelo (moments, messages, voice notes) remains yours. By using the app, you grant Nelo a limited licence to store and transmit this content solely to provide the service to you and your partner. We do not claim ownership of your content and will never use it for commercial purposes.

You are responsible for the content you share. Nelo is not liable for content exchanged between users.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Nelo may offer optional premium features through a paid subscription ("Nelo Premium"). Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are governed by Apple's terms and payment policies. We do not store your payment information. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their policies.

Subscription details, pricing, and included features are disclosed in the app at the time of purchase.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. This permanently removes all your data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in cases of serious misuse.

8. Disclaimers

Nelo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. We are not responsible for any loss of data due to technical failures, though we take reasonable measures to prevent such events.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Nelo's liability for any claims arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Nelo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
